Our involvement

We are pleased to announce that Gexcon UK will present and exhibit at the IFSM (Institute Fire Safety Management) technical meeting taking place on Wednesday 8th February 2023, in London.

Principal Engineer & Technical Lead Chris Gold and Senior Engineer Michael Bristow will deliver a presentation entitled ”The use of Ventilation, Fire and Explosion modelling to strengthen the building safety case”.

Energy Centres that are located within a multi-use building and use natural gases for the purpose of heat/energy generation must establish that their installations comply with the Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations (DSEAR).  By using case studies and briefs of assessments we can show how advanced consequence modelling can help review mitigation barriers and allow an Energy Centre design to be optimised whilst demonstrating regulatory compliance and reduction of risks are in line with the ALARP principle.
