On March 12, 2018, Gexcon and King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the Norwegian Ambassador’s residence in Bangkok.

The Norwegian Ambassador to Thailand, H.E. Kjetil Paulsen, held an opening remark on the importance of this MOU and hoped it would strengthen the relationship between Thailand and Norway.
The Minister of Energy, H.E. Dr. Siri Jiraponghan, was also present and emphasized the importance of the MOU and wished that Thailand could strengthen its expertise within the field due to its importance for Thailand to strengthen its safety culture and knowledge in the field of CFD.
The Secretary-General for Higher Education, Dr. Suphat Champatong, also held opening remarks and expressed his appreciation and the importance of the MOU.

The President of KMUTT Assoc., Prof. Dr. Sakarinder Bhumiratana, signed the MOU together with the CEO and President of Gexcon Sturle Harald Pedersen. They both expressed eagerness to develop and strengthen the relationship. Gexcon will work together with KMUTT in a joint research project in Process Safety and arrange training and seminars for the industry in the region.

Gexcon will transfer technology, expertise, and know-how in their field of expertise and conduct extensive training of KMUTT staff.
