Gexcon UK’s Energy Transition Technical Lead Dr Karina Almeida Leñero will be attending the Northern Nuclear Alliances Hydrogen Co-Generation Live event on Monday 18th October 2021.

In August the UK Government launched its Hydrogen Strategy, with an objective of achieving its goal of 5 gigawatts of low carbon hydrogen production by 2030 to replace natural gas in powering around 3 million homes as well as industry and transport.

The Government aims to replace one-fifth of natural gas with ‘green’ hydrogen, made through electrolysis.

This event, joined by influential figures within the hydrogen and nuclear industries, will discuss how a nuclear generation of hydrogen could contribute to Net Zero.

About the Northern Nuclear Alliance

The Northern Nuclear Alliance was established following a successful Supply Chain Conference and Exhibition for the Nuclear Industry at Birchwood, Warrington in 2011, supported by Sellafield Ltd and the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority.

The Nothern Nuclear Alliance is managed by a Steering Group representing all supply chain tiers in the nuclear industry and offers a programme of meetings, activities, and invaluable business support and networking opportunities.
