Our involvement

Gexcon UK is pleased to be exhibiting and presenting at this year’s Futurebuild 2022 event, which takes place at the ExCel Arena, London from 1 – 3 March 2022.

Senior Engineer Pablo Giacopinelli will be presenting alongside members of the UK District Energy Association where they will be discussing the importance of data and analytics, and how they are key to ensuring your Heat Networks remain fully optimised and inherently safe.

Pablo’s presentation ‘The use of advanced consequence modelling in the built environment to support energy centres’ risk assessments‘ will look at how Energy Centres that use natural gases or ammonia for the purpose of heat/energy generation purposes, must establish that their installations comply with the Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations (DSEAR). By using case studies and briefs of assessments we can show how advanced consequence modelling can help review mitigation barriers and allow an Energy Centre design to be optimised, and demonstrate compliance with regulations and reduction of risk in line with the ALARP principle. The impact of ventilation, dispersion, and gas detection on the explosion risks will be discussed.

Come and join Pablo and the team in the District Energy Pavillion on stand AA34 where you will be able to find out more about how Gexcon can assist with all your process safety requirements.
