Explosions and fires coming from the dust of materials handled in grain, food, and beverage industries have caused some of the worst industrial accidents in the world. To prevent these accidents from happening, awareness of the safety aspect of handling flammable dust is unquestionably essential. Additionally, the availability of necessary tools to understand the mechanism of dust explosion and fire through simulations is also vital.

Seeing the importance of this issue in the technical safety field, two of our experts will share their knowledge by presenting papers at Explosion Safety Days held by REMBE in China and Germany. You will have the chance to see how FLACS can help you assess the risk of dust explosion and fire in your facility.

At REMBE Explosion Safety Days 2019 – Food and Grain held in Shanghai, China, Gexcon will be represented by Gexcon China’s General Manager, Bin Xie. Bin will present a paper titled “CFD-simulation of explosions bucket elevators with multiple vent ducts and silos with inhomogeneous dust clouds”. The conference will take place on 14 – 15 October 2019.

At REMBE Explosion Safety Days 2019 – Food and Beverage Industries held in Brilon, Germany, Gexcon will be represented by Gexcon’s Chief Technical Officer, Kees van Wingerden. Kees will present a paper titled “CFD-simulation of explosions in food and beverage applications”. The conference will take place on 19 – 20 November 2019.

We’re looking forward to seeing you at the conference!
