President and Professor Roberto Mugavero for Observatory on Security and CBRNe Defence (OSDIFE) and CEO Sturle H Pedersen Gexcon AS signed an MOU in the Norwegian Ambassador’s residence in Rome on the 22nd of May. The Ambassador Margit F. Tveiten hosted the workshop on safety and security and the signing ceremony that also was attended by key stakeholders in Government and the Industry.
The MOU will focus on collaboration on research, high-level scientific dissemination, and education. The parties will cooperate in developing activities, also involving stakeholders from the public and private sectors, with the aim of improving global/regional solutions, competencies, and awareness of emerging issues in the field of safety and security.

The MOU with key stakeholders and experts in the field of security will strengthen both parties' in-depth know-how in the safety and security field. Gexcon has established the Scandinavia Safety and Security Academy Centre, the first of its kind in Europe that will provide unique R&D and training facilities for both safety and security in one place.
CEO Sturle H. Pedersen stated that this MOU will contribute to improving the understanding and insight of the outcome of the different situations and scenarios and tailor training etc. to clients’ situation and needs which all will contribute to both improved safety and security performance. The centre will use the latest in AVR/VR technology and FLACS CFD software to simulate different scenarios for both training purposes but also real-time support and planning.
