Gexcon welcomes Lee Cho Hing as General Manager Malaysia and Business Development Manager APAC effective 1st June 2022.

Lee joins us following a successful career in HSE and risk & safety management, where he has supported authorities and energy companies with all aspects of risk solutions. Lee worked for DNV for 17 years and founded their safety & risk advisory in China, he also pioneered the introduction of QRA and consequence simulation techniques to the China market. He was also involved in the official establishment of risk acceptance criteria for hazardous substance facilities in China, namely GB 36894.

From 2009 – 2012, Lee was engaged by Singapore governmental agencies as the internal consultant with respect to Jurong Island version 2.0 Initiative. He was responsible for updating the QRA guideline for the use of hazardous substances in Singapore and evaluating Gas Safety Case reports. 

Most recently, Lee was a global partner in ERM and led the safety services in North Asia (China, Korea, Japan, Hong Kong and Taiwan). He spent about 40% of his time on business development and client relationships, another 40% of his time on project delivery and 20% on team management and internal competence development.

Based in Kuala Lumpur, Lee will be responsible for providing solutions to organisations requiring support in managing risk and improving their overall process safety performance.
