Gexcon’s CTO received the 2019 EPSC Award at the 16th International Symposium on Loss Prevention and Safety Promotion

Gexcon AS Senior Vice President and Chief Technical Officer, Dr. Kees van Wingerden has received this year’s award for outstanding contribution to the advancement of Process Safety from the European Process Safety Centre (EPSC).

Each year, the EPSC awards a prize to an individual, team, or organization working in the process safety field for making an exceptional contribution to the advancement of process safety.

The award was presented during the 16th International Symposium on Loss Prevention and Safety Promotion in the Process Industries held in Delft, the Netherlands, this week where Dr. Kees delivered several presentations on the topic of Fires, Explosions and Toxic Releases.

Dr. Kees has worked within the field of process safety management for over 40 years and has become world-renowned for his contribution to the research of gas and dust explosions, the development of explosion consequence models and explosion protection systems, the results of his work have been published in journals worldwide.
