About the online EFFECTS training course

Training duration: 2 days

Fee: starts at EUR 1,100 or local equivalent per participant — A discount of 10% is applied for every additional participant within the same organisation.


This online training course is aimed at introducing the principles of consequence modelling and EFFECTS user interface and giving an overview of all the models available within the software: release, pool evaporation, fire, explosion, dispersion, damage, and combined models.

The course provides a general theoretical background that is consolidated with multiple practical exercises that will be elaborated during the course. Participants are required to practice and apply their new knowledge of the software through hands-on exercises.

  • In order to maintain a high standard of delivery, the maximum number of delegates per course is limited to 10
  • We reserve the right to cancel training 4 weeks prior to the start date where there are less than 5 delegate registrations.

Richard Lee

Richard is now part of the team at Gexcon Australia. As the Business Development Lead, he is responsible for promoting Gexcon’s products and services to clients in this region. 

As an experienced Risk Engineer specialising in onshore and offshore Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA), Richard contributes to the continuous improvements, development and enhancement of the EFFECTS & RISKCURVES software tools, as well as provides technical support and software training.
