Role Purpose
Lead Technical Safety projects comprising activities related to 2D and 3D safety studies.
Proficient in HSE safety studies like QRA, FERA, HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, F&G Mapping study and conversant with software like PHAST, SAFETI, EFFECTS, RISKCURVES, FRED, SHEPHERD, PHA-PRO, DETECT-3D, etc.

You
To be successful in this role, you must have the following attributes:
- Diploma/ BE / B-Tech / in Chemical Engineering.
- At least eight years of experience in technical consultancy with knowledge of a broad range of safety & risk subject areas and extensive knowledge of the market for these services.
- Ability to be detailed oriented, function in a multi-task environment, and meet fast-paced deadlines.
- Proven ability to lead a small team of consultants to achieve required project quality and meet strict deadlines.
- Knowledge of National and International Codes and Standards relevant to Process & Environmental safety applicable to the design, construction, and operation of a process plant.
- Expert proficiency in performing Dispersion analysis, explosion analysis, Building Risk Assessment, Facility Siting study, Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA), Fire & Gas Dispersion and Explosion Hazard analysis, etc.
- Skillset of using software like PHAST, SAFETI, EFFECTS, RISKCURVES, FRED, SHEPHERD, PHA-PRO, DETECT-3D, Bow-Tie XP, etc.
- Understanding and working knowledge of 3D CFD safety studies using FLACS-CFD software is desirable.
- Reliable (delivers quality output on time).
- Good oral and written communication skills in English.
- Good consultancy and customer-facing attributes.
- Good interpersonal skills, including cooperation, tolerance, friendliness, coaching, and the ability to convey. complicated technical results to laypersons and experts alike.
The Role
- To lead a team of consultants to conduct and deliver safety studies such as QRA, FERA, BRA, EERA, ESSA, Safety Cases, HAC studies, H2S Zoning, etc.
- To review activities such as Isolatable section mark-up, parts count, and frequency assessment.
- To be able to set up simulations on different software, e.g., PHAST, SAFETI, EFFECTS, RISKCURVES, DETECT-3D, etc.
- To perform evaluation of Fire & Gas Detection System, Active & Passive Fire Protection System.
- Checking & reviewing HSE study reports.
- To manage the delivery of consultancy projects and ensure high-quality outputs to clients on time and within budget.
- Overseeing the work of other consultants, including setting tasks, supporting research and analysis, and reviewing and quality-assuring outputs.
- Identifying, resolving, or escalating challenges in completing work in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Acting as the principal point of contact for clients and developing excellent client relationships.
- Contributing to business development activities, including identifying opportunities and supporting proposal development. Proposal lead / significant management is expected at the Principal Level.
- To write and develop structured safety study reports on the basis of different company and international standards.
- To estimate man-hours and resources required for different safety studies.
- To ensure all deliverables are in accordance with the company quality system.
- Interdisciplinary coordination with internal & external Teams.
- Involved in internal/external review and updating comments.
