We are looking for a research engineer who is passionate about developing and improving algorithms and scientific models, and will enjoy working within our research & development team

Location: Bergen (Norway), Warrington (UK) or Zeist (the Netherlands)

Contract: Full time

Closing date: 04 June 2023

Interview date: To be confirmed

Role Purpose

We are looking for two (senior) research engineers to join our R&D team.

Gexcon makes software to model and visualise 3D consequences (e.g. explosions, fires etc.) of hazardous gas and liquid releases and is used in safety studies worldwide, and you’ll be part of the driving force to help with our mission to make the world a safer place and contribute to the green energy transition.

As part of our team, you’ll be working in a R&D scrum team to help further develop our existing and new software products. You will work directly on the CFD solver FLACS, sub-models and related research. FLACS is part of the Gexcon X-suite of software: https://www.gexcon.com/software/

We’re looking for someone who’s passionate about developing and improving algorithms and scientific models and will enjoy working in one of our multidisciplinary teams.
